Choosing a game together

What to check before someone in your family starts playing, and where to find it.

Four quick checks.

Four checks before you download

  1. 1

    Check the age rating

Each game's store listing shows its rating. Our games are made for different players, so look at the one you're choosing.

  2. 2

Look at ads, purchases and chat

Some games show ads, sell optional extras or let players chat. The table below lists them for every game.

  3. 3

    Read the privacy details

The store's privacy or data safety section says what a game collects. Our privacy policy has the same details.

  4. 4

    Try it together first

Play a few minutes side by side, then pick the device settings that suit your family.

Settings that help

  • On Android

Google Family Link lets you approve downloads and purchases from Google Play and set daily screen time.

  • On iPhone and iPad

Screen Time sets app limits and content restrictions. With Family Sharing, Ask to Buy sends purchase requests to a parent first.

  • Something not right?

If you think a child's information was collected when it shouldn't have been, or something in a game worries you, email support@techiebutler.com with the game's name.
